#1.2

We all have many memories that we look back on, some good and some bad but why is it we only remember some thoughts? Why does our brain make us remember random things such as Annie Dillard mention the Clown painting. One memory that popped in my head was when I was about 13 years old. I had mentioned before in my introduction I am the youngest child in my family, and having a "stereotype" of being the youngest of the family, I got treated like a baby and still do til this day. I have one older sister and one older brother who are about 7 and 9 years older than me, so when I was 11 years old they had both moved out in the same month! My sister got married and moved to England and my brother moved out because he went to medical school. It had been such a big and dramatic change, being the youngest in the family to the only child had played a big role on me and made me grow out of this "baby stereotype". The ironic part of this is that i am somewhat glad this had happen because of being treated like a baby is not always fun and I think if I was still living with them i would have been a whole different person. In life you experience many things and after looking back at life and memories, I know now to always remember to always cherish the time you have.

Total Eclipse #1

After reading the essay "Total Eclipse" by Annie Dillard, I learned that her underlying meaning to this piece to me is that she had an inspiration of an eclipse and her ways of experiences and way of thinking lead her write a certain way. There was a serious tone in her writing piece which gave a memorable writing piece. Her audience was mainly for educated people who would like to read or at the same time maybe people who share similar life experiences like her.  I also noted that i saw she was trying to convey a message about life in general.  Having these "eclipses" experiences can lead you thinking different about such things.
